TodoIsDone is developed and published by Ramdas. For any privacy question, contact ramdasgat@gmail.com.
Everything you create in TodoIsDone is written to a private database on your own device and to the app's private storage area. This includes:
None of this is transmitted off your device by the app. TodoIsDone contains no networking code of its own — it has no account system, no login, no cloud sync and no analytics. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
The app can export your data to a backup file. You choose where that file is saved, using your device's own file picker. If you save it to a cloud folder, or share it, the data goes wherever you send it. The app never uploads a backup on its own.
| Permission | Why the app asks | What is stored |
|---|---|---|
READ_PHONE_STATE |
To notice when a phone call has ended, so the app can offer to create a follow-up task. | No call content, no phone number and no call history. Only the time a call started and ended, held briefly to decide whether to show the prompt. Android does not disclose the caller's number to this app. |
READ_CONTACTS |
So you can pick a person from your contacts when adding a birthday, instead of typing it. | Only the name and date of the contact you explicitly select. Your contact list is never copied, uploaded or read in the background. |
CAMERA |
To attach a photo to a task. | The photo, in the app's private storage on your device. |
POST_NOTIFICATIONS |
To show reminders, birthday alerts and the post-call prompt. | Nothing. |
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM, USE_EXACT_ALARM |
So a reminder arrives at the minute you set it, rather than whenever the system chooses. | Nothing. |
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED |
To restore your scheduled reminders after the phone restarts. | Nothing. |
FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE |
To reliably deliver a reminder alarm at its scheduled time. | Nothing. |
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW |
To show the reminder alarm and the post-call prompt as a full screen over other apps. This is optional — decline it and you will get an ordinary notification instead. | Nothing. |
USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT |
To show a reminder alarm on a locked screen. | Nothing. |
WAKE_LOCK, VIBRATE |
To wake the screen and vibrate for a reminder. | Nothing. |
REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS |
Optional. Lets you exempt the app from battery restrictions so reminders are not delayed. | Nothing. |
INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE |
Used only by Google's advertising and billing services. The app sends no data of its own over the internet. | Nothing by the app. |
AD_ID |
Required by Google AdMob to show ads. | See section 4. |
TodoIsDone includes services provided by Google. These, not the app, are the only sources of data leaving your device.
The free version of TodoIsDone shows ads. AdMob may collect your advertising ID, device and app information, and general usage signals in order to serve and measure ads. It does not receive your tasks, notes, birthdays, photos or contacts. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings, and you can remove ads permanently with a one-time purchase.
If you buy the ad-free upgrade, the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details. The app records only whether the purchase is active.
The app may invite you to rate it. The review itself is handled by Google Play and is public on the store listing if you submit one. Google reports nothing back to the app about what you did.
Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and the UK), this shows you a consent form about personalised advertising and records your choice.
The app has a "Feedback & Suggestions" link that opens a Google Form. Using it is entirely optional. Anything you type there is sent to Google Forms and is visible to the developer. Please do not include sensitive personal information in it.
TodoIsDone is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we hold no personal data on any server, requests to access, correct, export or delete data held by us cannot apply — there is nothing on our side to act on. Your data is in your hands, on your device.
Your data is stored in the app's private storage area, which Android protects from other apps on the same device. Any backup file you export yourself is not encrypted, so store it somewhere you trust.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
